The City of Winter Garden is currently monitoring the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak in Florida.
City Hall and City services will remain open, with reduced staff when possible. Police and Fire Station lobbies are currently closed to the public. The Utility Billing Department is also closed to the public. Parks and Recreation Programs are cancelled until further notice. Please read below for more detail.
Until further notice, the Utility Payment Office located in City Hall is closed the public. We encourage those making utility payments to pay via phone, 24/7 using a credit or debit card by calling 407-656-5437 or on-line via the City’s website. Payments may also be placed in the Utility Billing drop boxes 24/7, which are located both in the City Hall parking lot and also outside of City Hall’s rear entrance. Those with service questions may call 407-656-4100, Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm. If you need to start new service, please check the City’s UB website for required forms or call 407-656-4100 for direction. There will be no shut-off for non-payment and no late fees assessed on your account during this time. Please check this page for updates.
UPDATE: The April 11, Easter Egg Hunt at Newton Park has been postponed. At this time, The Lion’s Club is hoping to reschedule this event (or something similar).
All City-sponsored events are postponed or canceled until further notice. Note that this includes upcoming events, including Wine Walk, Spring Fever In The Garden, Evening with the Pops, and the Car Show, which are canceled. This also includes large meetings including City Commission, Planning and Zoning Board, Architectural Review Board, and Code Enforcement Board meetings. Parks & Recreation Programs:
All Parks & Recreation programs are canceled until further notice. Note that cancellations include all sporting events, City pools, and the City’s splash pad. Parks remain open at this time, but we ask that you refrain from using playground equipment and use proper social distancing tactics.
The Farmers Market will remain open on Saturday from 9 am to 2 pm, but will only include food items (vegetables, fruit, bread, dairy, seafood, meat and some prepared foods etc.). Hand-washing and hand-sanitizer stations will be available for use throughout the market. Vendor booths and check out areas will be staggered to meet social distancing requirements. A Farmers Market will also be held on Wednesday evenings from 4pm - 8pm at the Pavilion until further notice, utilizing the same guidelines as above.
