Billing
Service for Solid Waste and Recycling Collection is handled through the Winter Garden Utility Billing Department in conjunction with your municipal water bill. Please click here for more information pertaining to account set-up and billing.
Collection/Pick-Up Days
The City of Winter Garden provides residents with twice a week solid waste (garbage) collection, once a week yard waste collection and once a week recycling collection. Special pick-ups are provided for large items for an additional charge. In order to maintain a high-level of service to citizens while keeping costs low, the City has established routes for solid waste, yard waste and recycling pick-up. Click here to determine the collection days for your sub-division or street.
There are some holidays that garbage collection services are not provided. Normal services resume on the next scheduled pick-up day. Note: Yard waste is NOT collected the week of a holiday. Click here to see the holiday collection schedule.
Pickup times may vary, depending on weather, traffic conditions and amount of material collected throughout the City.
REDUCE REUSE RECYCLE
The City of Winter Garden is doing its part to reduce waste, expenses, and to help our environment. The success of our waste reduction and recycling efforts depends on all of us.
- Choose reusable bags for shopping instead of paper and/or plastic.
- Choose reusable packaging containers for snacks and lunches.
- Choose products with minimal packaging.
- Buy in bulk rather than several small containers of the same product.
- Print double-sided.
- Sign up for on-line bill pay programs.
- Contact companies to reduce junk mail.
- Choose reusable water bottles and coffee mugs instead of single-use bottles and cups.
- Choose items that are acceptable by the City’s Residential Curbside Recycling Program.
- Reduce yard waste by composting, using leaves and small branches for mulch, choosing plants that are the right size for their location to minimize pruning, and blowing grass clippings back into landscaping.
- Choose products made from recycled material.
